Star Wars Chat Pack: What wedding gift would you get for the Organa-Solos?

Welcome to Day 21 of my NaBloPoMo Challenge, where I randomly pick a card from the Star Wars Chat Pack and try to answer it.

Today’s question is: You’re invited to the wedding of Princess Leia and Han Solo. What do you bring as a wedding gift?

Well, I’m not a very good gift-giver, but I’d love to attend this wedding!

The wedding on Endor.

So, Han and Leia aren’t your typical newlyweds. I feel like a toaster oven or crockpot would be inappropriate, lol. I’d want to get them something special, something meaningful, you know? If I had the money, I’d get a bottle of Alderaanian blue wine called Toniray. As Alderaan has been gone for a while by this time, bottles are rare and exorbitantly expensive. If I was rich, I’d get this for Leia, and for Han a nice bottle of Corellian brandy.

From the cover of The Princess and the Scoundrel, by Beth Revis, the book in which their wedding takes place.

Since I probably wouldn’t be rich, I’d get some kind of matching accessories for them: pretty hairpieces for Leia, and some cufflinks or something for Han (for the rare occasions he needs to dress up, lol). Maybe with the same kind of design, something that designates Endor, like a particular tree or flower that only grows there.

The lovely bride.

That’s all I got. As I said, I’m not good with gifts, but I do my best.

What would give Han and Leia as a wedding gift? Let me know in the comments and we’ll talk about it!

  1. Great suggestion with the Toniray! I think that something created in Alderaanian fashion would be loved by Leia. Han is difficult though as he doesn’t seem the kind of person to really care about a gift, I almost feel that seeing Leia’s happiness would be enough for him. So I think some kind of Alderaanian artwork/ornament for the pair

  2. I’d probably carve the couple a new set of gaming dice with “his and hers” markings to replace the dice Han had hanging in the Falcon as a singleton. A bit like the lovers two half heart pendants we see on earth nowadays.
And a new pack of Sabaac cards? I hope it isn’t a marked deck you scoundrels!
