Hello friends! I’ve been working on a piece of fan fiction featuring Mon Mothma, so I thought I’d poke around and find some fan art of the Chandrilan Senator, Rebel leader, and New Republic Chancellor. Enjoy!
This one is part of the official artwork of Star Wars Celebration Japan in 2025. I love the style–called ukiyo-e, a traditional Japanese art style that flourished in the 17th to 19th centuries. Here Mon holds an official scroll while the Death Star looms in the background. The look on her face says “Do your worst…I’m still here.”

Here’s the famous wedding crash-out dance in Andor, in which Mon feels her life spinnng out of control. This one scene conveys so much emotion without words, and this piece captures that perfectly. The tear running down her face is a nice touch.

I love the grace and elegance of this piece. Mon wanders the halls of her palatial apartments in Coruscant, but it means nothing without freedom. She exists in a gilded cage.

This one captures the glamor of Senator Mothma, before she must leave all the glitter behind and become a war leader.

I like how this one captures the duplicity Mon must maintain while in Coruscant, to keep up the mask of conformity while secretly funding and guiding the nascent Rebellion. As she reminds her friend Tay Colma while at a society party, “Smile,” while talking treason.

This one captures the uncertainty, doubt, and fear of actually going up against a powerful Empire. But once committed, she doesn’t back down.

I’m still working on the fan fiction story, but I’ve got a few others I’ll post here in the coming weeks. In the meantime, enjoy these awesome works of Star Wars fan art!
