Hello friends! I thought I’d share some more of my drawings in a separate post instead of waiting until next month’s catch-up post. I just have so many! And there will be more next month, too, lol (fair warning!). So here goes:
Our pirate queen, Phee. This girl’s hair was quite the challenge. This is the last of the animated characters I’ll do for a while since I’d rather work on real people in photos.
This is my fourth attempt at Padme, and I just can’t seem to capture her to my satisfaction. But this one is passable. The shadows from graphite don’t show up in these photos and I didn’t think to add charcoal until after this one.
I like this one of Osha, even though her nose is off, and her eyes are a bit too far apart, and I didn’t quite nail her expression. Hair is a win, though, lol.
I feel like I made some kind of breakthrough with this one and I’m proud of it. My Lukes tend to look like Justin Bieber, lol, and maybe this one does a little. Doing better with shading.
Poe looks a bit cross-eyed here, lol. The eyes are the hardest to do and make or break a portrait, imo.
I’ve always had good luck with Obi-Wan and I really like this one.
I had such high hopes for this one, lol, but it didn’t quite pan out. Right eye’s a bit wonky. A lot of dark shadows in this one (appropriately) but didn’t quite work out.
With Andor S2 coming up soon I wanted to work on some characters from that show. Pleased with Cassian here.
I’ll post again when I have another handful of drawings; I seem to be doing one every couple of days. I’m starting a drawing class this Thursday (general drawing, not portraits specifically, should be fun) so we’ll see. Hope you enjoyed this post!
I’m a little late with this, as the 40th anniversary of the release of The Return of the Jedi was last week on May 25th, but I thought I’d celebrate that iconic film with some fan art. Enjoy!
I love this art nouveau style poster for the film.

Leia releases Han from carbonite in Jabba’s palace.
Couldn’t find artist info. Looks like a comic?
Luke constructing his green lightsaber on Tatooine before rescuing Han from Jabba.
No artist info, only Fantasy Flight Games.
A great scene of Luke on Endor with Rex, er, I mean Nik Sant, lol.
No artist, just Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game
A charming portrait of Leia with Wicket on Endor.
Jennifer Aberin Johnson
Han on Endor with stormtroopers and an AT-ST.

In honor of our fallen hero, I thought I’d post some great fan art of Tech. Enjoy.
This is a great one of Tech in his distinctive armor and with his double blasters.

This is a metal plate that can be bought on Displate. There are tons of these of other characters’ helmets, too, very cool.

Just thought this was adorable. The artist’s name is on the piece, I think it’s Gatia 2002?
Very awesome helmet shot of Tech with the amazing goggles.
ladystarsocks on devientart
No fan art compilation would be complete without Jake Bartok. This is his medieval Tech. I can totally see him with his bunch of scrolls rather than a datapad, lol.
Just thought this was cute, mostly because of his supply of Crosshair’s toothpicks and Hunter’s bandanas.
middimidoris
Couldn’t leave without the classic goggle-adjust.
I believe the artist’s name on the piece is kailynnxo?
What do you think of these? How are you doing with your grief? Lol. Check in with me in the comments and we’ll talk about it!
I’m getting excited for the book Padawan by Kiersten White; it was released yesterday, but it’ll be a few days until I receive it. Until then, thought I’d share some Obi-Wan fan art to get by. Your welcome.
This is the only one of Obi-Wan as a Padawan I found that I liked. It looks like the Tatooine suns are shining off of him (and that he doesn’t look too pleased to be there, lol).
I couldn’t find any artist info on this, but found it on fanpop
Obi-Wan presumably talking to Dex at Dex’s Diner in AOTC. He also went to Dex for advice and help in the recent book Brotherhood by Mike Chen, which I loved.
R-Valle on DevientArt
I thought this one was kind of sweet. Some feel it portrays Obi-Wan and Ahsoka as a romantic couple (which is just wrong, btw), but the artist is actually showing an alternative universe where Obi-Wan is Ahsoka’s Master, reading her a story, or maybe a lesson from a Jedi text. Perhaps a bit too intimate for such a thing, but I love how Ahsoka trusts him completely, and Obi-Wan looks happy with his Padawan (as opposed to being eternally frustrated with a certain someone, lol).
I can’t read the name of the artist on this piece–Autumn something…
I can’t have a fan art post without including Uzuri Art. I think she made this piece just before the series Obi-Wan Kenobi came out, and is her rendition of him in his exile on Tatooine.
I adore this one of Obi-Wan with Leia and Lola on Mapuzzo.
Art by Rola Rafal
Jake Bartok is always another favorite of mine, and his medieval series is awesome. Here’s older Obi-Wan as the vaunted Knight.
What do you think of these fan art pieces? Are you planning on reading Padawan? Let me know in the comments and we’ll talk about it!
I didn’t have a subject planned for my Wednesday post, so I had to throw together something quick but fun, which usually turns out to be fan art. I was going to focus on Obi-Wan considering the latest series, but found some really neat Anakin/Vader stuff instead, which still applies. Enjoy!
I like this portrait of Anakin because it’s fuzzy and vague, kind of muddled, like Anakin’s mindset just before he turns to the dark side. He’s a hot mess, lol.
InkdDesigns on DevientArt
I like to include fan art that’s different, something I’ve never seen before, but something that speaks to me in some way, too. This one of Anakin looking at a hologram of Padme is kind of strange, but unique. She’s looking at him with compassion and love, despite the wreck he seems to be here.
starsofnorway on tumblr.com
This one shows another link to Padme, as a helmetless Vader looks at the necklace he made for her when he was a boy. I’m not sure how he got hold of it, since it was buried with Padme on Naboo, but it’s still an emotional scene.
Artstation
I just thought this one looked really cool. There’s also the fact that Vader is a shattered man, and this image projects that.
iartbilly on Devientart
And you can’t have a Vader fan art collection without Vader having tea in a meadow. I love this artist’s images of Star Wars characters in whimsical situations. And how does he sip through that thing, anyway?

I hope you enjoyed this group of Anakin/Vader fan art. What do you think of them? What’s your favorite? Let me know in the comments and we’ll talk about it!
I love Star Wars fan art, I love the High Republic, and I love the artist Jake Bartok. This post combines all three, showcasing some pieces I haven’t shared on this blog, or haven’t even seen myself until recently.
This one shows the characters of the YA novel Out of the Shadows: Vernestra Rwoh, Reath Silas, Sylvestri Yarrow, Lourna Dee. I’m not sure who the hooded figure on the left is. Maybe Cohmac Vitus?
Every Star Wars storytelling era must have a trio of one woman, and two men who share friendship and/or relationships. For the High Republic, it’s Avar Kriss, Elzar Mann, and Stellan Gios.
Elzar and Avar in the front, and Stellan watching over them, as he does.
This is a nice cast photo: in the front is Bell Zettifar, Vernestra Rwoh, and either Reath Silas or Imri Cantaros, I’m not sure. In the middle is Burryaga. And lining the back is Indeera Stokes, Loden Greatstorm, Nib Assek, and Porter Engle.
Sabers out!
This is a great one of Padawan Bell Zettifar and his master, Loden Greatstorm. And Ember, of course!
This is a fun one showing various characters, including Vernestra with her purple lightwhip, and Zeen Mrala in the back (the pink one), a Force-sensitive friend of the Jedi. Marchion Ro, the Eye of the Nihil, is at the top center. Oh, and the Jedi vectors are shown in the corners. They’re Jedi ships that are piloted by the Force, which is pretty cool in my opinion.
This is Bartok’s medieval version, which he likes to do sometimes. I like the shield with the Jedi symbol on it, and the swords inscribed with Aurabesh. Vernestra’s whip at her belt is a nice touch. And does Marchion Ro have horns??
This is a nice tryptic showcasing various characters. On the right in the far right corner is Lilly, a Jedi from the manga Edge of Balance, which I’d like read soon. My daughter’s name is Lilly, so I automatically love her, lol.
These are absolutely gorgeous images, and I’m always interested in what he’ll do next. Check out his work on Twitter@JakeBartok.

I know I just did a post on fan art, but I saw this Kylo image on Pinterest, and absolutely loved it and wanted to share it. I love how the artist filled his scar with gold the way the cracks in Kylo’s broken helmet are filled in with red. It’s inspired by the Japanese process of “Kintsugi” wherein the lacquer that fills the cracks in broken pottery is brushed with gold; the point being that the breakage is part of the piece’s history and should be celebrated, instead of something to hide. Beautiful.
I also love Kylo’s fabulous blue hair!

I haven’t done a fan art post for awhile, and figured it was about time. I’m really digging Uzuri Art right now, what a fantastic artist! Check her out on uzuriart.com.
Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka. Luminous.
Obi-Wan (in the red Mandalorian armor, no less) and Satine. I adore this one!
Kanan Jarrus. Fantastic.
Omega. She has portraits of all the members of the Batch, based on the actor Temuera Morrison, as well as Rex.
Master Skywalker.
And since I’m so in love the show Loki, I couldn’t resist this one, lol.
What do you think of this artist’s work? Let me know in the comments and we’ll talk about it!
I found this fan art last week on Pinterest and thought they were wonderful. At first, I got a bit confused because the artist goes by several different names, but after a bit of digging, I do believe they are the same person.
The artist goes by Scadam or mandal0re on Reddit, and also Scadarts on @scadarts on Twitter. He’s an Australian artist who uses Photoshop to put Star Wars characters and images into classical art. He does a lot of different things (seriously, check him out) , but I just love the mosaic art.
Take a look:
Looks like Luke is holding one of the ancient Jedi texts.
Luke Skywalker
I love that Ahsoka has both her lightsabers here.
Ahsoka Tano
I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on with Chewie’s hand. Looks like he’s flipping us off, lol. The Aurebesh on the book is a nice touch.
Chewbacca
Looks as if Obi-Wan is blessing someone. He is “Jesus” after all.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Han Solo is never far from his trusty blaster.
Han Solo
Looks like Old Ben has been wandering in the desert of Tatooine for awhile, with all that dust and sand on his face.
Ben Kenobi
She’s tough, she’s brave, but she’s got a big heart.
Princess Leia Organa
The red beneath his cloak is a nice little detail.
Sheev Palpatine
The ancient master.
Yoda
Is it me or does Mace always look angry?
Mace Windu
Looks like Vader is raising his hand to Force choke somebody.

I can’t believe I’m just finding out that Bail’s full name is Bail Prestor Organa. Proving the fact that I learn something new about Star Wars every single day, which is pretty awesome.
Anyway, at first I thought I’d do a Bail appreciation post, since it seems to me that fans have a soft spot for this most excellent space dad (myself included); then I thought, nah, I’ll do another fan art post. I ended up just mixing it together, and voila! Fan art and a lot of appreciation for this character who pops up in many places–movies, comics, and a lot of books.
As I scrolled around looking for great images of Bail, I came across a couple that illustrated a few scenes from Legends, and so I included those too. Enjoy!
Senator Organa in his finery.

I love this one of Bail and Leia in his office on Alderaan. I’m not sure if it’s illustrating a particular scene from anywhere, but I love that he’s comforting her in his wonderful Dad way.
starwars.wikia.com
Again, I’m not sure if this one is illustrating a particular event, but it looks like Bail with Mon Mothma, Admiral Ackbar, and some other unnamed gentleman (arms dealer?). They seem to be looking over an X-Wing, possibly for sale for use in their nascent Rebellion.
This one of Bail and Breha’s last moments on Alderaan just guts me. They worked so hard and tirelessly to oppose the Empire, and they paid for it with their lives (and the lives of all those on Alderaan). Right in the feels.
starwars.wikia.com
This one of Bail carrying Obi-Wan Kenobi just begged the question: what the heck is going on here? Captioned “Mission to Zigoola,” I looked it up and it’s a scene from the Legends book Clone Wars: Wild Space, by Karen Miller. Bail and Obi-Wan on a mission together? I must have this book. And so I immediately ordered it on Amazon, lol. I will read it after my current book and let you know exactly what is going on here.
Mission to Zigoola, Chris Trevas on twitter.com
This isn’t a scene from a particular book (I don’t think), but it does illustrate Leia saying goodbye to Bail as she heads to Toprawa. In Legends, Toprawa is the planet (or system) from which Leia receives the Death Star plans (obviously before Rogue One came out). It’s the last time she sees him alive.
Mission to Toprawa (i.pinimg.com)
There’s something about Bail that is just so endearing–he’s kind, reliable, a great father to Leia, a loving husband, a Senator and a Viceroy to Alderaan, he helped the Jedi when they desperately needed it, and he was a key player in forming the Rebellion early on. I can’t find a single flaw in the man. That’s nice to see once in a while, especially in Star Wars when a lot of the characters have character flaws that lead to trouble, lol. Bail’s a rock in the violent sea, a polestar in the heavens.
What’s your opinion of Bail Preston Organa? What do you think of these images? Let me know in the comments and we’ll talk about it!
